Welcome to Golf in Dorset
Welcome to the Dorset County Golf Union (DCGU), promoting and developing the Amateur game in Dorset on behalf of all our affiliated clubs and members.
The DCGU was founded in 1923 and exists to represent golfers in the County, to promote the game of golf and is the link between Clubs and England Golf which amongst its responsibilities includes the application of the World Handicap System.
County affiliation is via club membership and offers many benefits:

(available on mobile app) providing reduced green fees at most golf courses in England.

- available for all abilities & ages (not just elite players!)

DCGA
offers 8 events per year to all gollfers with no handicap limit

Club Support
- course ratings, WHS advice, governance advice, junior golf development schemes, rules/referee training, etc.

- our junior development program offers opportunities from club level via our approved Club Academy scheme.
