Adult / Junior Foursomes Championship Dudsbury Club 26 August 2010

On a cloudy and slightly showery day we all arrived to find Dudsbury in top condition even given the lashing it took the day before and with the weather forecast saying it will get better as the day goes on we were set again for a good day of Adult & Junior Foursomes for the Bunny Cotton Trophy and the honour of being the Adult / Junior Foursomes Champions.  The field of some 52 pairs from Bridport, Dudsbury, Canford School, Broadstone, Ashley Wood, Ferndown, Canford Magna, Chedington Court, Parkstone, Wareham, DG&CC and the ever present Weymouth, as for the other 20 clubs in Dorset we hope to see representation from you at next years event. 

Players did not find the scoring overly easy but wee did see some early 38 points from Ware father and son Phil and Sam Allen they were followed in by Pete Corrick and Tom Robson, Liam Blake and Josh Eastwood DG&CC.  The Robbie & Robbie Mabb from Weymouth took the lead with 39 points along with Steven Welch and Luke Shaw also from Weymouth but the title was finally taken by local Andy Parsons and his partner George Davis (Ferndown) also with 39 but a better back nine of 23 points.

Weymouth were the triumphant team with a total of 77 points closely followed by Dudsbury on 76 and DG&CC on 75.
