Seniors v Surrey - 02 July 2008 - Sherborne GC

Result: Dorset 8 Surrey 2 

When I selected the team order of play I had a good feeling and very soon we were up in the top five matches. However as they came through the 13th green the picture was decidedly less rosy, four of them were now down, and my heart and hopes were heading in a southerly direction. All ended happily as a recovery took place and we went on to win by the best score we have had since joining the league.

Seniors v Kent - 18 June 2008 - Langley Park GC

Result: Dorset 1½  Kent 7½

Match report: A good, tight tree lined course played on a bright, windy day. The premium was on both length and accuracy as the course was long with narrow fairways and very quick greens.

An excellent win by Campbell Boat got us off to a good start and Bob Dilkes (5) hung on gamely for a half with Chris Reynolds (plus 2) despite being comfortably out driven. Although several were up at various times nobody else managed to have their nose in front at the end.
