Ferndown Golf Club Junior Team has retained the Knockout Trophy 2022
The semi-finals began in misty conditions at the wonderfully prepared Came Down Golf Club, but by the afternoon the players were rewarded with sunshine and all round beautiful conditions. In an extremely tense semi-final, which finished all square between Sturminster Marshall B Team & Ferndown A, it was left to the respective skippers to do battle. Having halved the first extra hole, both players hit wonderful shots into the tough Par 3 second, but it was Dominic Harrington for Ferndown who held his nerve to sink the birdie putt which saw his team into the final. All matches in the final started very tightly, but it was Ferndown who began to edge away as play progressed. Final score: Ferndown A 3.5 points - Sturminster Marshall A 0.5 points.
