Well what a difference 10 days makes. After the boys first Dorset match last week and a 5-3 victory they certainly came back to earth with a bump. We knew it was going to be a hard game and the handicap difference on the start sheet confirm it. We didn’t realise quite how difficult though. The result was very disappointing but so was the size of some of the defeats. This squad is very raw with only one member playing county golf in the past. I guess the only positive is that they will have learnt a lot about their true ability at this age group and the improvements required to play against the best teams. We have a training session this Sunday and it will be a great time to reflect as a team on what are the main areas we need to improve on. With no match now until the summer holidays we have plenty of time to prepare.
