The final match of the season saw us taking on Devon at Broadstone Golf Club. Following our 7-1 win against Cornwall confidence was high and the boys were looking forward to it.
Unfortunately however, things didn’t start too well and the majority of the boys went down early on. Devon have always been strong and it was very clear early on this was going to be a tough match. The boys did start to claw their way back and coming down the stretch it was pretty much 50/50 on who would win. It eventually came down to the last put on the last green. Aiden Mulligan from Devon holed a 15 foot put on the 18th to make the final score 4-4.
So the league finished with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss, all in all not a bad season for what was a very inexperienced team. Well done to the boys.
