Dorset County Golf Union
Dorset started their year with the annual fixture against Hampshire. The match was played at Romsey Golf Club which proved a perfect venue for the under 14’s match, whilst not long it takes some great course management to get the ball round.
Like in previous year’s, Hampshire’s combined handicap came in over 30 shots lower than ours, however after a battling morning the boys came in all square after the morning foursomes.
The afternoon didn’t go so well, the Hampshire boys came on strong and took the singles 8-2 meaning a final score of 10 ½ - 4 ½
A special note should go to Sam Trott and James Bishop on winning their singles matches.
