Dorset’s matches certainly do tend to be tight affairs and this fixture proved to be no different! It was played at Cricket St Thomas which proved to be a great venue, although not long the tight, twisting layout tested the boys course management skills.
The morning foursomes started steady with the boys just edging it on the early holes. James & Rhys won comfortably while the other 2 games went down the last. A fine chip in on the last from Jacob meant the foursomes finished all square.
The singles got off to a flying start for us and the first 3 matches were won very comfortably. However the last 3 matches were all very close. We only needed ½ a point to win but it was hard to see where it was coming from. It the end steady Alex Johnson got a ½ to pick up a 1 point win for Dorset
