Well following on from a great win away in Cornwall the lads came back down to earth with a very big bump! It was clear early on that this was going to be tough with Devon’s combined handicap coming in 16 shots less than our team and so it proved. Only Elwick and Kollberg picked up anything in the morning however being 3 up with 3 to play they would have hoped for more than the ½ point they won.
The singles proved just as tough although Sam Trott did win his match in fine style being 7 up at one point.
Although this was a disappointing result to finish the season there are still positives to take from the year, a lot of our lads have gained tremendous experience this year and with 7 of this year’s squad still under 14’s next year it looks good for 2016.
