Dorset County

Came Down was in lovely condition, the greens true and quite fast and the sun shone.  What more could we ask for?  Well what we could ask for was what we got which was a resounding Dorset victory over a strong Kent side.  In the middle of the order Campbell, Graham and David had very good wins and the tail hung on despite one or two nervous moments.  For much of the afternoon we were ahead, but gradually Kent whittled holes back and in the end six matches went down the 18th showing how close it had been.

After the match an enjoyable meal was had by all.  It is now time for us to prepare for the National Finals at Gog Magog when we will meet Kent once again.  I hope that this victory will convince my team Kent can be beaten so the Finals would be a very good place to do it.
