A disappointing start to the defence of the league title saw Dorset lose by 1 point against Somerset at Yeovil Golf Club.

The foursomes started off in a very tight fashion with all 3 matches staying pretty much level with only 4 holes to play. Unfortunately, in the end 2 of the 3 matches went against us with Brad and Will losing on the last, this would prove vital in the end.

The singles was a very similar story with most of the matches remaining very tight after 9 holes. Unfortunately, it proved to be too much of an uphill battle for the team after our front 2 experienced players failed to get anything out of their matches.

On a brighter note, Rhys Harrison performed well again and it was fantastic to see Will Chesterman get a singles win while captaining the side for the first time.

Chins up now and we are looking forward to perhaps the hardest challenge of the year away to Surrey in a few weeks time.
