Remedy Oak was in excellent condition and the weather was very kind to us. As always with Hampshire a close fought match which ended in a draw. Our County Champion, David Barton, played their County Champion who started like a train and was soon four up. David gradually wore him down and a half was probably fair. Local member Nigel Stubbs playing his first singles match for the County was one down after six but then played the next nine holes in four under par for a comfortable win. A promising start for him. Afterwards both teams enjoyed the excellent Remedy Oak catering.
