Dorset County

A simply fantastic match took place between Dorset and Cornwall at Bridport and West Dorset Golf Club. The fousomes went against us in the morning as it did our previous match against Somerset. The ever dependable pairing of Tom Seville and Sam Brooke however secured a vital point on the last meaning we were only 1 point behind rather than 3 going into the singles.

The course was playing very bouncy and it almost seemed to take the practice round plus the foursomes for the boys to really start getting to know how to play it! The singles started just how we needed it to with the first 3 matches getting well ahead early on. The last 3 games were against us at times so we knew early that this was going to be close. Although Billy Hathway got pegged back he made a solid par on the last to close out his match leaving it down to Tom Kollberg to try and secure our final vital point. Tom didn’t let us down holing a fine 8 foot putt on the 17^th to give us victory!

Well done to the lads once again, another great performance!
