The close match against Somerset was in reality a great performance as they beat both Cornwall and Devon very convincingly with lots of the games ending early, whereas in our match three of the games went to the 17th and two decided on the 18th. All of the squad delivered at least 1 point, with Jenson Bull and Ollie Drewitt delivering 6 out of 6. We also had the youngest team there (although Cornwall had some young players) with three Under 16’s and two in their first year of U18’s out of a team of 8.
For our Roy Greenaway match next Friday at Farrington Park, 6 of the 10 are coming from the U16’s, so great experience for them.
The Junior Committee wish to thank Exeter Golf & Country Club for hosting the event, Devon Golf for organising and all those who took part for their efforts and support.
