Four Counties Junior Championship
West Cornwall GC 11-12 April 2018
General
The event comprised of a morning Stroke Play round for both the Individual and Team Stroke Play Championship, which is followed by Three Inter-County matches to determine the Inter County Match Play Championship. Weymouth was in very good condition and for both days we were blessed with some fine sunny periods if still a little cool at times.
Day 1 - Stroke Play
The Dorset Boys continued with their form in the stroke play when they retained Team Shield beating the Devon boys into second place by some 15 strokes. Dorset’s Rhys Harrison and Harvey Randall were tied for first place on 69 along with Somerset's Dylan Xanh they went to a three hole play off which was won by Rhys who was one under for the three holes and became the SW Four Counties Champion.
Matchplay
So to the afternoons matches, Dorset took on Devon with Somerset playing Cornwall
Day 2-Matchplay
Dorset played Cornwall with Devon playing Somerset
The afternoon saw Dorset against Somerset and Cornwall v Devon
Dorset were placed second overall with Devon taking the Matchplay Shield for 2018
