Inter-Club Mixed Foursomes

Broadstone GC 26 August 2018

We were at a very wet Broadstone Golf Club for this year’s Inter-Club Mixed Foursomes and the course whilst in great condition was getting wetter by the hour as the rain was unrelenting a great shame on what is always a great day for the club members.  Today was going to be a great test for all with some not even bothing to turn out.  After some time it was decided to call the handicap in after nine holes and the scratch after thrirteen which was much appreciated by all.

Scratch

The Scratch trophy was Won by the home pairing of Louise Sims & Ashley Beckett with last year's Champions Melissa McMahon and Steve Mudford Lyme Regis taking the runner up slot on countback from the Sherborne pairing of Caroline Beaumont & Matt Sandy.

Congratulations to Louise and Ashleyon becoming the 2018 Inter-Club Mixed Champions.

Handicap

The Handicap section was well contested even with the rain with Bridport's Ruth Donovan & Mike Savage taking the glory with a fine 17 points after nine some two clear of home pairing Andrew Walker and daughter Meg finishing with 15 points.

Congratulations to Ruth & Mike on becoming the 2018 Inter-Club Mixed Handicap Champions.

Congratulations to all who took part and we hope you enjoyed your day and the cake? We along with the players also thank BroadstoneGC and it’s members for allowing us the use of their course for the Championship.

Next year we will be at Lyme Regis GC on Saturday 10 August 2019 so come on let us see more clubs taking part.
