2016 - Henderson Trophy
2016 Keith Durban Salver 2016 Henderson Winner
Tom Plumb v Brad Cox:- So County Team mates were up for the final of this years Henderson and a thrilling encounter was anticipated. The first was halved and then Tom birdied the second to go one up, Brad won the next then Tom took the fourth hole and Brad the fifth so it was still level. They halved the next and Tom took the next when Brad conceded after a little trouble. They halved the next two holes and therefore Tom made the turn 1 up. Tom birdied the tenth to go up by two, they halved the next and then Tom took full control wining the next with par and then he eagled the next to make it four up. Brad dug deep taking the next two holes to keep his hopes alive and he then had a putt to take the next but it sadly slipped by and the match was Tom’s 2&1. Credit to both players who played some excellent golf which was appreciated by all those spectating. Tom has the Double both the Durban Salver and Henderson. |
Semi-Finals
Tom Plumb v Adam Harris:- So both Tom and Adam are team mates and both from Sherborne so they know each other’s game very well, it was an unusual start as Tom pushed his tee shot of the first into the driving range and then on the third hole topped it into the water off the tee. That said Tom regained his composure and on the second nine took control with some fine golf winning by 4&3
Brad Cox v Callum Ward:- This match was evenly balanced with County team mates Brad and Callum matching each other shot for shot for most of the match. Brad finally edged it 2&1 to set up a final place against Tom Plumb.

Last 8

Thomas Kollberg v Adam Harris:- Both players played well but Adam had control and won by 4&3 |
Brad Cox v Morgan Taylor:- With Brad having the morning off he was more refreshed but it proved to be a real battle as the ever improving Morgan Taylor held his own for most of the match and Brad stepped up in the later part to take the match 2&1 |
Callum Ward v Sam Russell:- The last match was a tight affair but Callum always seemed to be in control and that proved to be the case as he won 3&2 |
