Category I & II Championship

Crane Valley GC 01 September 2015

The Category I & II Championships were played at Crane Valley GC on what was one of our drier days so far this summer!  The course was going to prove a stern test for all the competitors especially the greens which were tricky with some interesting pin positions.  We had a fair turnout for the championship this year with 12 clubs taking part in the Category 1 Championship and scoring was pretty good and it was Craig McNeil from wareham who came out on top with  a net 70 two under par total

Runner Up:James Malcolm Yeovil GC  71
Third: Ashley Harvey Broadstone GC  71

The Category II Championship was once again well contested with players from seventeen of our clubs taking part.  scoring in this division was not as good with players finding it tough to score.  Simon Stranger Rushmore had a net 74 total and he was tied with local Ben Joy (Crane Valley) but ben had the better back 6 to take the Category II Championship.
