Cyril Nash Memorial TrophyJessica Stott 2012 Cyril Nash Winner

Wareham GC 03 August 2012

On a sunny day the 2012 Inter-club Cyril Nash Memorial Trophy competition got under way.   Once more the numbers were depleted with only 8 clubs taking part from within the County and a total of 44 club juniors competed for the Memorial Trophy.  There was some excellent play on a very well presented Wareham course. Early starter George Carroll DG&CC set the pace with a cracking 37 points with Michael Maud Canford Magna just one behind on 36. Team mate Dan Holness was one further back along with Parkstone’s Steffen Foley.  Jessica Stott came home in great form with a stunning 39 points to take the lead pushing George into second which was at the death to be third when Parkstone’s Morgan Taylor equalled him on 37 but had a better back three to take second spot.

The Junior Committee wish to thank all those who took part for their support to this event it is a great opportunity to allow club youngsters with a higher handicap to represent the club in a competitive competition and we hope more will support the event next year which will be held at Wareham GC on Friday 2 August 2013.
