Adult / Junior Foursomes ChampionshipAndy & Samuel Trott Greensome champions 2012

Knighton Heath Golf Club 23 August 2012

It was a nice clear sunny day at Knighton Heath as we got the Adult / Junior Greensome Championship under way.  We again this year had only a few entries but in the end we managed to get 30 pairs booked in which is great for this fun day giving the adult members a chance to play golf with the juniors.  There was some great play and why not, the course was in good condition the weather set fair so all they had to do was hole the putts. Early starter Jack back along with Dad Simon came home with 42 points which would take some beating.  Marcus Lovesey along with dad Peter had 40 points as did local pair of Dan Haymes and Jordan Randall. Jordan Howlett teamed up with Leigh Stanger and they took over the lead with 43 points.  We then had many in the high thirties including Geoff Cotton who with Luke Maddison had 39 points one of Geoff’s better totals over the years.  We had a three ball out last due to a pair failing to show and this group proved to be enjoying the day, local pair Gary Holly & Alex Pouliasis had 44 points leaving Alex questioning the putts they missed as Andy & Samuel Trott Weymouth amassed a stunning 46 points to claim the Bunny Cotton Trophy.

Weymouth C: Andy & Sam Trott, Geoff Cotton & Luke Maddison 7 Doug Pratt & Lewis KnoxMore importantly they had been teamed up with Doug Pratt and  Lewis Knox and Geoff and Luke which gave them a team total of 85 two shots clear of second placed Knighton Heath consisting of Jordan & Leigh with Dan & Jordan.
