Dorset under 14’s went into their last league match of the season knowing that a victory could well land them the league title. After 2 wins and a draw the boys were determined to finish off with another good result.
Ferndown played host to the match and the course was in fine condition as always. The morning foursomes got underway and the boys started strongly going ahead in all 4 matches, Cornwall did however manage to turn the top game around to take the point, the next 3 all held on for good wins though.
The league title may come down to matches won and lost so the boys knew a convincing victory was needed, they didn’t let themselves down and finished with a crunching 7.5- 0.5 singles win. Total match score 10.5 – 1.5!!
Wiltshire must now win their last two games and drop no more than 3 points over both if they are to beat us.
Well done to the boys on a great year, time will tell if we’ve won the league.
