With 3 of our top boys away in the national under 14’s championship and Jenson Bull still injured this was going to be a challenge. The match was played at a hard and fast Weymouth golf club and with the wind getting up the course was playing quite tough.
The foursomes got underway and it was great to see the unexperienced lads look calm and collected. The matches were all very close but in the end the boys bossed the morning by going 3.5 – 0.5 ahead!
Devon were going to need something special in the singles if they were going to get back into the game but it wasn’t to be for them. The Dorset boys were simply brilliant, Oscar Thomas summed up the day with a 10 & 8 victory!
Now onto our last league game, a win against Cornwall will surly mean we will retain the league title.
