We were at Knole Park for our match against Kent and the course was in good condition. The match got under way in heavy rain which cleared after an hour or so. Kent as usual were strong and proved to be the better side on the day with us being down in a number of games around the turn. Credit to the players who dug deep to try and turn it around, if only those who managed to get it to the eighteenth could have held on. There were good wins for Ashley Beckett and Tony Coles with Dave Barton and Paul Lucas hanging in for a halve. whilst we lost the match we can take a few positives forward to our last fixture against Surrey next month.
