Our first league match of 2018 against Sussex was played at the Isle of Purbeck in wet and windy conditions. We were up against a strong Sussex side that went to last year’s County Finals who proved to be too strong for us winning convincingly. There were several of the matches which were tight and went to the wire. John Smith had a resounding win and Terry Falck made a great effort to come from behind to secure a half point. Whilst not unexpected it was a disappointing result but we must put this behind us and look forward to our match against Wiltshire at Yeovil and hopefully get back to winning ways.
