Match report: With a great field of 70 and only light wind and April showers the 2008 Dorset Scratch Open got under way for the Hillamsland Trophy. The morning round saw some good scores being recorded, Matt Walker (Came Down) and Adam Myers tied on 70, this was closely followed by Darryl McMahon (Yeovil) on 72. The afternoon again saw more heavy April showers but the scoring was good, Adam Myers repeating his mornings performance to again record a 70 for a total of 140 taking the title by 4 shots from David Norton (Parkstone) and Corey Coshan (Ferndown) who both had level par 71's to finish tied on 144. David just taking second on count back. The handicap prize went to James Higgins from Highcliffe with a net 140 from Craig Cameron Fulwell on 143. Once again our thanks go to Dudsbury GC for hosting the event and presenting the course in excellent condition. To all the players we hope to see you back again next year.
