The following County Events will make up this years OOM:

Order of Merit – Rules

The Dorset Order of Merit will be open to all players who are members of clubs affiliated to the Dorset County Golf Union

The top 10 positions (& ties) in both Stroke Play rounds of each event irrespective of who fills the position will be awarded points on the following scale 12,10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1

The total aggregated points determine position in the OOM table. Players are not restricted in the number of events they can enter.

The top 16 qualifiers for the Matchplay stage in the County Championship will get 5 OOM points with the finalists getting an additional 5 points.

The 2010 Weymouth Jubilee Cup second round will carry DOUBLE POINTS.

The Winner of the Order of Merit will receive the Trophy and a voucher for £150. Second Place will receive a voucher for £100. Third Place a voucher for £75.

All disputes and other matters relating to the Dorset Order of Merit will be decided by the Executive Committee whose decision shall be final.

The OOM is open to Juniors who have handicaps that meet the entry handicap limit for the above events.

Qualifying Events

2009/2010 Henderson competition Stroke Play final positions.
16 April: Bournemouth Junior and Intermediate Championships Queens Park GC
01 June: Ferndown Junior Open
02 June: First round of the Boys Championship. With the top 12 final positions of the Championship to be awarded double points.
04 June: Canford Magna GC
27 June: Yeovil GC
03 August: Highcliffe Castle GC
16 August: Bridport GC
30 August Chedington Court GC

Junior OOM Conditions of Entry

Boys are to be under 18 on the 1st January 2011.
The top 12 positions in each event irrespective of who fills the position to be awarded points on the following scale 15,12,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 In the case where away players are in these places points will not awarded.
The total aggregated points determine position in the OOM table. (players are not restricted in the number of events they can enter)
Top eight positions of the OOM will form the Junior Elite Squad. The individual winner will receive the Ian Clark Shield along with a coaching voucher.
In the event of a tie places will be decided by the individuals overall position in the County Boys Championship.
